This is the first release from 17853 Records in 2015, a label operated by Chee Shimizu.

Riccardo Sinigaglia, a composer and musician deeply rooted in Italian experimentalism, has participated in various genre-defying projects such as Futuro Antico, Doubling Riders, and Correnti Magnitiche. As a solo artist, he has also created numerous highly original works, including Riflessi, released in 1986 on the avant-garde label ADN in Milan, and In Fa, released in 2019 from Black Sweat in Italy.

This release marks the first-ever analog edition of his earliest recordings, including unreleased tracks that Sinigaglia created in his twenties. Made possible through a collaboration between 17853 Records and Artisti del 900, a new line from ADN, this release has been carefully crafted in every detail— from its high-quality sound to its meticulously designed artwork and packaging— to achieve the perfect Japanese edition.

The title of the album, Scolle Vole (Glissando), refers to a musical technique. It is a grand suite that took five years to complete, from 1976 to 1981. Side A features Sinigaglia's earliest recordings, with production beginning in 1976. Side B consists of tracks created between 1979 and 1981, which was later released on cassette tape in 1987 by an indie label in California, USA.

Both works are electronic concrete compositions infused with an ambient and meditative sensibility, meticulously crafted by blending various field-recorded sources with electronic sounds from analog synthesizers. The design of these compositions is based on a unique musical theory influenced by ethno-shamanism. The way the music integrates with the surrounding ambient sounds is remarkable—especially at the ending, where the sound seamlessly dissolves into the environment, making it impossible to tell when the music actually ends. This is ambient music in its purest form.

To fully experience this, it is recommended to adjust the volume to the quieter parts and listen at a relatively high volume, allowing an extraordinary sonic world to emerge.
