This EP opens with its title-track, "Words from the Frontline". Firm kickdrum sets the tone and pace before a hi-hat tattoo reminiscent of a military march asserts itself. Rushing synth effects edge in from the sides before the track expands to accomodate a bending, feintly jazzy keyboard motif. This is quickly absorbed into the track`s fierce, linear 4x4 progression, and the addition of crisp snap-claps make this a winning modern take on 2nd wave Detroit-style techno.
