Unreleased Afrobeat LP recorded in the Tabansi studio 70's/early 80's.. It holds four incredible slices of late-70s/early 80s Afrobeat magic, but not Fela’s Yoruba/Pidgin Afrobeat. This is Igbo (track 1/2) and Hausa (track 3/4) Afrobeat - two very different and rarely heard styles which are super groovy with their own interesting percussive characteristics!! TIP

The Tabansi Studio Band comprises the seven legendary Martins Brothers (of ‘Money’ fame). Vocals by Goddy Ezike, one of the most extraordinary voices out of Africa, up there with Youssou N’Dour and Salif Keita.
