Description
Munich’s The Boogoos, present their first 12″ maxi-single, which combines the afro-rhythms of Fela Kuti with American funk and soul. The 13-piece group includes members of the Poets of Rhythm, Express Brass Band and The Hi-Fly Orchestra. “Theme de Yoyo", originally by the Art Ensemble of Chicago, gets a soulful funk treatment. “The Journey (Ghana ‘74)” is a nine minute afrobeat cut and a Boogoos original composition.
