On the A side there's a track by 'The Harlettes' (Charlotte Crossbey, Ula Hedwig, Sharon Redd) doing H. Hancock's Maiden Voyage. It starts off in a very easy mode with round bass, lush piano & sounds and sublime vocals. From the middle towards the end of the track the instrumentation gets more and more pressing with more stressful drums, piano & vibes going everywhere only to return to the same tight groove that is actually present all along. The vocals remain real easy though to keep things balanced. On the flip you'll find the afro/jazz track 'Spiritual war' by Baltimore's Fertile Ground. Limited copies in... Tip!
