'The Strength' is the title cut, here in 2 variations with the first version imbuing almost highlife-like qualities in it's melodies and construction. Minor chords, intricate drum programming and cabinet rattling basslines create a special atmosphere, with the 2nd mix being a somewhat stripped back cousin of the first. Pure brilliance. The B-side contains 2 different mixes of 'Gettin Lifted' is a sleek late-night cruiser of a track that seems to be speeding towards an invisible horizon at 200mph.
