Original Roadshow Records release incl. the Winners’s ‘Get Ready For The Future’ from 1978. Cool disco!Although the band released very little - one LP and a handful of singles - The title track on side 1 is a chunky stomping slab of disco-funk joyousness which deservedly earned its place as a Loft and Paradise Garage classic. Later re-edited by DJ Harvey, its fierce guitars, tight brass and killer percussion defy you not to dance - watch out for the awesome cosmic synth and drum breakdown at the end. Though less renowned, side B is no slouch either featuring a gloriously sexy chugging slo-mo disco epic topped off with gorgeous smooth honey-coated vocals reminding us that ‘Love is Free’.
