1970's Spirit In The Dark includes five self-penned Aretha vibrant classics, as well as songs by B.B. King, Dr. John, Jimmy Reed, and Carole King. Musicians include: Brother Duane Allman, Big Star/Rolling Stones' session man Jim Dickinson, along with the Muscle Shoals rhythm section and the Dixie Flyers.
