SCOPEX EP by KLASH PRODUCTIONS

This is probably Emoticons most dancefloor-friendly release to date, built around a heavily percussive house groove with deep bass, dubby FX and sweeping string chords. On the flip, label founder Tom Churchill contributes a remix with more of a broken beat feel, keeping the distinctive strings intact while adding synth melodies and Rhodes stabs to the equation. KLaSH productions are musician Kevin Long and DJ Simon Haggis. To date they have released Hiptonic with Robert Owens. Also a project with Afro band Awa, together they converted a traditional Nigerian song into a slamming Hammond workout, picked up on by NYC DJ Danny Krivit. & soon to be released on Wave Music. Their music has been supported by Danny Krivit, Francois Kevorkian & Gilles Peterson. Check!!
