Tinting a tough dubstep production with old-school hip hop elements pays off nicely on this new short-form outing from Matty G. 'Rock Like This' takes evocatively vintage vocal samples and immerses them in a production pinned together by slow, loping beats and steel drum hooks. Continuing in a not dissimilar mode is 'The Scratch The Bass', whose 808 cowbells bring a little electro heritage to an otherwise very modern urban sound.
