This new release by Dutch producer Klaas-Jan Jongsma combines classic Detroit techno melancholy with modern production whilst maintaining a strong dance floor approach on the A1 and B1 tracks. The two other songs have a deep, melodic approach with elements of a long era in electronic dance music, but maintain their originality with ease. The first tracks of both side come with the dancefloor energy we know of his other releases done as The Moderator bringing the original energy of Motor City and adding some funk from the Red Planet. The other tracks bring in the typical moody Dutch Eevo Lute sound, for which he earlier did an EP as Penisula. The Moderator also releases on labels like DownLow (USA) and Arne Weinberg (D). This is the second release in a series of four that Eevo Lute will be releasing by four separate artists. Further contributions to the series will follow by Ballet Mechanique and Blackout International. The records conceptual relationships are emphasised by an original design concept: inspired by the musical content, UK designer Red James created four sleeves which can be joined together to create a larger image.
