Two sides of amazing modern soul / boogie from Boston, MA; circa 1984. Local group Cojo released this single about 20 years too early.... The A side, "Play It By Ear" is an amazing catchy "coulda been, shouda been" pop hit. Great duet vocals and magic bassline make this a favorite to all who hear. The B side, "Heads Up" is a truly unique song. Punchy drum machine programming with a mix that owes more to Phil Spector than Larry Levan. Tip!
