Denver’s Gila debuts on Benji’s Deviation label with new six-track EP, ‘Pick Six’.First making waves as part of US rap group, Gorgeous Children, it was Benji’s support on Radio 1 that first alerted XL Recordings to his intricate and abstract beat-making. It was through XL that he released his debut EP, ‘Genkidama’, in 2016 Pick Six’ builds on the territory explored in ‘Genkidama’ and sees Gila continue to toy with hardbody US rap production techniques and sound palettes, casting them into a hazy, tripped-out flux all of his own making.
