Rep’s output on Greensboro, North Carolina-based label Payroll Records may have been limited to just a handful of songs, but that has only made the few songs they did release—such as 1990’s “Nothing Can Stop Us Now” — even more treasured by hip-hop heads and vinyl collectors. Hailing from Fayetteville, North Carolina, the duo of Dizzy Fitzgerald (aka Dizze Dee) and DJ Def released this single a year after it was recorded in 1989 and has been tough to find ever since. It’s now available on a fresh, fully license repressing, with its punchline laced b-side “Say No Rhyme Before It’s Time.”
