MOTIONWISE EP by MAH'MOOD

Motionwise EP is Mah'Mood humble yet dazzling introduction to the production scene. This project embodies the Funk, Disco and Hip Hop mixture that Mah'Mood has symbolized as one of the backbones of Geneva's DJ scene for a decade.

The title track immerses the listener into a dream-like, heavy and haunting groove that reflects Mah'Mood's attraction for deepness and spirit in music. The narrator's live recital of a morse code poem ties a powerful statement with a visceral longing to groove.
The B side creates a rather hopeful air with shiny chops and mellow strings showcasing Mah'Mood sample based technique and diversity in moods he can express as well as ways he can make you dance.

Bio:
Mahmoud is a Geneva-based DJ and Crate Digger who has been active for the past decade sharing his passion and dedication for deep and poignant music rooted in the 70’s and early 80’s, on and off dancefloors. 

Former founder of Constel’ collective, he has actively played a role in many dance parties and cultural events locally and internationally, hosting and opening parties for Nile Rodgers, Rahaan, Red Greg, Mr. Mendel, Darryn Jones, Al Kent & Mark Grusane among others. Mahmoud also has a deep knowledge of music through his experience as an avid record connoisseur and hunter, and later as shop manager at Bongo Joe. 

Mah’Mood has quietly been developing his personal take on beatmaking by blending House, Hip-Hop, Disco and Funk in a raw and honest home production style. His debut “Motiowise” is a first taste of what he is about: warmth, sincerity and spirit.
