Computer Jay returns to Ramp after the massive Distance/Epiphany 10” earlier this year, with Maintain. Jay is an LA resident, and part of the collective that includes Flying Lotus, Ras G, Gaslamp Killer… Jay’s best friend is a computer, surprisingly named Computer. Computer is a wise cracking collection of circuit boards, and enjoys spitting crazy verses over Jay’s synth-heavy beats. Jay’s epic production packs more into 3 and a half minutes than most producers can cram into 10. Remixes come from none less then FaltyDL with an edgy and uncomfortable edit in his unique garage-not-garage style. Mike Slott steps out of his comfort zone with some euphoric basslined hip hop badness and Ikonika brings the project to its conclusion with a hands-in-the-air, wonky, broody techstep rendition. TIP!
