Description

Costanzo played with Peggy Lee, Perez Prado, Frank Sinatra and many many more. Clearly a friend of the stars, he taught the likes of Marlon Brando, Betty Gable and Carolyn Jones to play bongo’s. ‘Jive Samba’ is taken from his ‘Latin Percussion With Soul’ album recorded with Gerry Woo, released on Tico in 1968.
AA. Al Escobar & His Orchestra - Tighten Up
Columbian Al Escobar’s cover of Archie Bell & The Drells classic ‘Tighten Up’. Escobar worked with Tito Puente and many other latin greats whilst in the US. ‘Tighten Up’ was a popular track in the Northern Soul scene in the UK,
originally released on their hard to find El Sonido Moderno De Al Escobar’ LP on Tico in 1967.
