Description
Back in stock for a much better price; Three out of three from the 'Black to the future' series. The A side kicks off with 'Everlasting' voc/instr, written by Ivana Santilli ( who also took care of the vocals, rhodes, trumpet and string arrangements !). Expect a midtempo vocal track with second songlines and live violin stringwork. Next up on the same side comes 'This journey' by the Rebirth, a vocal jazzfunk track. On the flip there's 'Break me off' , a collaboration between King Britt and Alma Horton. A fragile vocal delivary with thin beats scarse strings and additional songlines. Next up is King Britt as Oba Funke getting loose with 'Afro stepping'; percussive beat programming, prominent & hard hodes tearing it up and intense vocal scats by Wunmi ( MAW ) all the way through catching only some serious breath at the end of the track. Respect!! Third track on the B side comes from Tony WaH-cHu-kU and is called 'What you need to do'. An offbeat headz track with nice full beats, imaginary sounds, sparse percussion, vocal samples, little piano riffs and just such a tight production in general...
Well recomended !!!
