Again the french Q-tape label impresses with their second repress (the first one being the sublime 'Everything' album by Smoke). This 1974 album comes from bassplayer Leroy Vinnegar who played with the likes of Stan Getz, Sonny Rollins, Les Mc Cann & Eddie Harris. It's full of funky jazzfunk bits with percussion, vintage basslines, moog etc and the tracks are somewhere 'in between cosmic jazz, jazz funk, blues, psychedelic and dislocated easy listening' as Q-Tape puts it. A definate must for anybody into BlackJazz, Flying Dutchman, Tribe or Strata East releases ! Tip!
