Prepare to enter the Sombrero Galaxy. Journey To The Centre Of The Sun, the debut release from Lovefingers’ highly anticipated imprint ESP Institute, is a collaborative effort from Londoner Jonny Nash (Discosession) and Dutchman Tako Reyenga. The two met years ago whilst Jonny was working and living in Tokyo and Tako made his way over to DJ. Around the same time, Lovefingers linked up with these two and a musical family had formed. That being told, its only natural for Sombrero Galaxy to find its home and represent the face of the ESP Insitute.Journey To The Centre Of The Sun is a dive into a moody, visceral and ethereal headspace brought to life through shimmering synthesizers, swirling guitars and a chugging bassline coupled with live percussion, clearly setting the bar higher than the bulk of contemporary electronic music. On the B side, The Stallions (Lovefingers and Lee Douglas) reinterpret the track with optimism, nicely complimenting the original with a light and cloudy yet driving house version.
