In addition to the boogie classics “Hookit up” and “I'm So Strong Now,” this fantastic masterpiece is now back, filled with the one-of-a-kind grooves fostered in the South African club scene of the 1980s, from Afro-jazz to disco and reggae.
Doctor Rhythm is a project started by guitarist Paul Peterson and Spirits Rejoice, a jazz fusion band that had been active since the late 1970s, incorporating a great deal of funk and soul influences.
This album, made after the hit single “Shine On,” is the only album under the Doctor Rhythm name, and is now a rare grooming masterpiece sought after.
