Groundwork is a monthly midweek throwdown, where residents and locals let loose on a pair of Technics and some beer-crate-mounted CDJs in the function room of Shakespeares Pub, Sheffield.
When 18 year old Porter Brook strolled into the pub one Thursday, he introduced the Groundwork crew to some of his music. His ability to culminate influence from the sounds of Sheffield and beyond to form club ready, hybrid rhythms made the decision to become a label concrete.
