Description

Repress with MP3 download!! This sampler contains two smashing afro originals. On side one there's Oscar Scully's 'Bukom Mashie' that was featured on the Ghana Soundz 1 compilation, a driving percussive track with saxophone and raw vocals, originally recorded in Ghana in 1973 and was unreleased until the issue of Ghana Soundz 20 years later. On the flip is The Ogyatanaa Show Band with 'Disco Africa'. Like the title explains a afro disco track with edgy organs, wahwah guitar a catchy vocal hook and cool percussion. It was originally recorded in 1976 and again was never released until now! This one will be featured on the Ghana Soundz 2 compilation that has to come out yet. On each side Tru Thought's Quantic and, also from Brighton does a remix from the original. Tip! Soundfile1 is track A1&2, soundfile 2 is track B1&2.
