'The Funk Is On The One' is a brand new compilation showcasing a unique style of Midwestern funk from the early-mid 70's. Super strong compilation - check out the Mel Sheppard track, co-produced by Billy Nichols, but lots of other tracks are also great!Inspired by the likes of Funkadelic, The Ohio Players, and Rick James, Funk on the One is a heavy, rhythmically dense take on the clasic funk formula. These tracks transcend the realm of toe tapping into full blown stomping. We've taken great pains in ensuring that this is an aesthetically and musically cohesive collection, and for that we think this will be a big hit among DJ's and collectors.
