FEISTY / FEISTY DUB by UNKNOWN

A song whose origins are still something of a mystery....probably originating in the US's deep south in the 1920's it was brought to the world's attention by the remarkable & definitive Nina Simone version in 1964. Last years 'Reminder' long player from Canada's Leslie Feist also contained a much overlooked (outside of Canada at least) version of this track. This hand stamped 12" version takes her interpretation straight to the afterhours, underpinning the instantly recognisable syncopated rhythm with a floor shaking bottom end.
