"Earth Tones 2" sees Levon Vincent drop one of his most experimental jams yet with "Tyner". Beginning like a broken Atari spitting out a tribal, half-step dub rhythm, we're soon submerged by dissipating melodies, flanging atmospheres and keyboards. Flip over for DJ Qu's "Everybody's Dark" - another haunting, futurist workout. Fred P tops off with "Stay". A club-friendly kick drum pattern holds down a catchy male vocal hook while droning strings and tones disturb and alienate the listener. Three tracks of late night body music. Check!
