DISCO DRACULA by HOT BLOOD

Good fun horror-themed disco LP from Germany. Featuring members of the Boney M family. This rare LP first came out in 1977, and has become synonymous with the ‘horror disco’ LP’s from the likes of Simonetti’s Goblin. Containing 7 tracks ranging from "Even vampires.." and "Dracula goes dreamy" which are slower instrumentals, to the more upbeat "Terror on the dance floor" which features bizarre crowd noises and sleazy overtones. The major track on the record, "Soul Dracula" has every cliché one would expect from a 'dracula' track: maniacal laughing drrrracu-la, catchy background gimmicks that drill themselves into your head and sleazy overtones. This track recently found its way onto Quiet Village’s ‘Fragments Of Fear’ mix CD.
