Description

REPRESS. We are proud to release the first in a series of electronic / acid / techno 12"s here. The 12"s will delve into the netherworld of original dance music referencing detroit techno, chicago acid trax and the danceable end of noise and early industrial. On this the maiden voyage we are joined by... Dungeon Acid 'Nude Descending A Staircase' Jean-Louis Hohta who we first became acquainted with his noise/psych doom band Skull Defects, surprised us with the quick and amazing evolution of his acid project Dungeon Acid. A no brainer for the 12". Here he brings us a long building acid track looking back at the classic jack trax of chicago but in his own style. Ron Hardly 'Subway Antlers' Clan Destine mainstay Dafydd McKaharay (Nattymari, Curt Crackrach, Preperation Hate, aGitator etc etc) adds another pseudonym to his already massive list here for his acid trax alter ego. Referencing the mighty Ron Hardy, Ron Hardly brings us a acid soaked trip to some tunnel party. Torn Hawk 'Black Rain' I first came aware of Luke Wyatt via his amazing video work which he describes as video mulch. His work for the L.I.E.S label as Torn Hawk blew or minds. He then decided to blow everyones minds with his track on this 12" a dark repetitive journey to the dark side. Tuff Sherm 'Idle Engines' Eugene Hector aka Dro Carey brings us a slow burning house track under his Tuff Sherm guise. This one builds, deteriorates and builds up again. Worker/Parasite 'Angkor Leou' We first met Ben Versluis through his label Tundra Dubs. One day he let slip about his mostly live and all analog acid techno project Worker/Parasite, we needed some of this craziness for the 12" here it is.
