Description

A second set of Disco Folk from this unique Turkish pair ï¿½ duo working in late 70s Germany, and mixing up their own roots with a range of different electric instrumentation!

The odd modes of the sound are wonderfully captured in the unique three-necked guitar on the front cover ï¿½ and the styles of the tunes really further that approach ï¿½ blending some cool plucked stringed instrumentation with rootsy percussion elements, then warming the whole thing up with 70s production styles ï¿½ all in a way that almost makes the music a clubby version of the musical mix that you'd find in Arabesk rock from Turkey a few years before. The sound's not really disco ï¿½ at least not in any conventional sense ï¿½ but definitely has a dancefloor appeal at times ï¿½ and titles include "Coban Mamos", "Kanser", "Kara Uzum Habbesi", "Derdiguzel Aglama", "Baris Icinde", "Garip Modalar", and "Kotuler Ermez Menzile".
