Description

New Religion welcome their first Dutch artist to the label, Hal Varian. Hal is also known as Mr Delsin, Marsel Van Der Wielen. Rightfully winning acclaim as 'Europe's finest electronic music label', over the past 5 years or so, Delsin has sought to bring you a fresh sound of the future, encompassing artists from the four corners of the globe into its blueprint of future music. Marsel also records as Peel Seamus, who has had 4 successful EPs on Delsin, including the legendary long lost Delsin release catalogued DSR01! For this EP, he brings us 3 new tracks, fusing raw drum patterns, sweeping synth stabs and emotive strings, the 2 tracks on the B side remind us of legendary UK artist Neuropolitique. A side 'Catalysm' is bringing a warmer, dreamier vibe, coming across like what we can only think of as something resembling a sweet Carl Craig outing. Fans of Detroit style techno will appreciate this fresh European take on the sound, bringing it up to date just as fellow countymen Steve Rachmad, Orlando Voorn, M>O>S, Nwaq and others have been doing for the past few years. The Catalysm EP comes with a high quality picture sleeve designed by Detroits Alan Oldham. Recommended!
