Description
Two unreleased tracks/versions from these great seventies soul singers! It's a sampler 12 from the upcoming Kingsbread compilation. Kingsbread are some young producers based in LA. Since 2000, Mathieu a.k.a. Mistafrench ( producer of Spacek,Roots etc.) Fatjack (Ice t, Pharcyde) and Thomas a.k.a. Mato (Kingmatos studio paris) have been producing singers and musicians all over the world. Their latest project, soon to be released, and where these two tracks are taken from, features colaborations with the like of Tricky, Spacek, NDea Davenport and more. 'Black maybe', a cover from the jazz-soul classic, writen by Stevie Wonder (who Syreeta was married to) and covered in the 70s by Gary Bartz, goes straight to the soul with its deep lyrics and beautiful voice of Syreeta (almost sounding like Minnie Riperton); production wise retouched by Kingsbread. The flip comes from soul producer (for Marvin Gaye ao) and singer legend Leon Ware with Reachin' in. Tip!
