It's been a long journey from gospel singer in the pioneer jazz funk UK gospel band Paradise, to becoming a critically acclaimed British soul singer/songwriter to presently, a senior manager in an inner-city further education college.Paul has worked with Stevie Wonder, Mica Paris, Juliet Roberts, Loose Ends, Al Green, George Michael, Soul II Soul, Bluey Maunick of Incognito...and many others. He played sell-out shows at Ronnie Scots and Sadlers Wells. In 1994 Paul found a new audience through the release in 1994 of club classic 'If We Lose Our Way' written and produced with DJ Dodge and IG Culture. Paul Johnson's life is now somewhat removed from the music industry he works with young people and adults who despite very difficult circumstances are improving their lives through education and preparation for work. However, Paul through his friends Mica, Dodge and Neville from 2B3 and vociferous fans on his FB page encouraged him to be heard once more. So the journey continues supported by his new mate Osiki Ojo (Ozzie) - here is 'Better Than This', remixed for 7" by Soul Talk (Ernie McKone & Toby Baker) and 4 Hero's Dego & Kaidi , a definitive soul anthem for 2014!
