The album Kicks off with the full eight minute version of Love International’s downtempo disco classic from ’81, ‘Dance On The Groove & Do The Funk’ followed by the highly sought after ‘Masimbabele’ by The Unknown Cases. Side B features the hard to find long version of Elkin & Nelsons’s classic ‘Jibaro’ and the dub mix of Duke Of Burlington’s great mid tempo disco cut ‘Flash 83’, produced by Italo legend Tony Carrasco. On Side C there is the highly sought after twelve minute version of The Chaplin Band’s 1982 chugging disco classic ‘Il Veliero’, a big favourite with DJ Harvey and sampled for Lindstrom’s recent ‘The Contemporary Fix’. Next up is Joe Jackson’s brilliant Afro jazz-funk cut ‘Zemio’, taken from his 1983 soundtrack to the movie ‘Mike’s Murder’, followed by the great ‘Oe Oe Faz O Carro De Boi Na Estrada’ by Brazil’s Jorge Ben.Side A 1.
