AFRICA EXT MIX/SABEBE by CEDRIC IM BROOKS & THE LIGHT OF SABA

Two tracks ( 'Africa ext mix' and 'Sabebe' ) taken from the Cedrik compilation on the HJ label. 'Africa' is a superb 4/4 based reggae/disco tune 'round 110 bpm (to bluntly put down the facts) with super catchy horn riff and chorusline, accompanied by rhythmic guitarwork and flutes. There's a few solo's and breakdowns in here too; the track keeps it's energy throughout and doesn't go wrong for a single bit! 'Sabebe' on the flip has also a 4/4 based rhythm and is a little faster than the A side. Apart from some sparse vocals, the track starts out as an instrumental jam with flutes, loose percussion and a hornsection to fall in love with!! At say two third, the track shifts towards a slower reggae tune with more prominent vocals. The tracks have a great sound quality (really clear) and come in nice sleeve again with classy filth like coatings on the side and artwork taken from the original 'Light of Saba' label.
