PURA VIDA COMPILATION by V/A - VARIOUS ARTISTS

The compilation of the first five vinyl EPs of the Pura vida collection sounds directed by Guts. And it is Guts himself who speaks best about it:
"With its dynamics, its remixes and its extended versions, the maxi is the king of the DJ's format.

The one with which no other can compete when it comes to move the dancefloor and keep dancers in action even when their bodies tell them to stop or at least slow down.

This artistic carte blanche offered by Heavenly Sweetness will have allowed me to bring out the music that makes me vibrate by bringing back to it an essential element: spontaneity.

No long creative process, no visual proposals to validate, no planning toto follow or promotion to set up. A desire? An idea? A remix impossible to leave in a drawer? Recording, mixing, pressing, the music almost delivered at the exit of the studio, as in the best hours of the day. Reggae, rap or house. An unequalled flexibility to stick as close as possible to your desires artistic of the moment. Mine, of course, but also those of my musical "family", some of whose members attended.

Pat Kalla, El Gato Negro, David Walters, Izem and Souleance, came to the studio for leave in the groove an exuberant engraving, funk, electro, full of life, envy, brass, guitars, irrepressible rhythms... As many nuances as there are artists, all connected by a dominant afro-tropical color, a direct echo to my dj set in which all these maxis have finally found their place in the rhythm of their outings.
It was only after the series was over that I realized that there was another common point the maxis between them: in spite of the musical and cultural crossbreeding, all were sung in French or Creole. No calculation, no reflection to get there, just spontaneity, the desire to immortalize a love affair, a musical flash of lightning".

After spinning on the turntables and vibrating the diamonds, the five Pura Vida maxis Sounds are now gathered in a single compilation, so that you can finally listen to in one stroke, these titles, until then split in reference and opposite according to the DJ's mood. A compilation that will also end up being included in a series...
