This is definitely not a 'Classic House compilation' but more a very personal selection of older and newer tracks that have a very special place in DJ Deep's heart and record box.DJ Deep says:
The idea behind City to City volume 3 is to say the spirit of House is still there in many Dancers, Music lovers and Producer's hearts. I personally think there is a common link between Frozen Border and Armando's early productions, Redshape is definitely a today's interpretation of a natural, raw, very sensitive and full of emotions from the Chicago House era. Traxx is one of the soldiers of this movement - a Nation of Jackers who still believe that the spirit is alive and worth fighting for. When i heard Ben Klock's remix of 'Pong' by NY's House legend Kerri Chandler, I was really thrilled. To me it was like connecting the many dots of the House universe i love so much. Going from the master of the Deep Raw Underground Jersey House sound - Kerri Chandler to experimenting with Electronic sounds of his favourite Video Games, to the Berlin Based studio of Mr Ben Klock delivering a subtle dark and mysterious still funky as hell music where you can feel the influences of early Chicago House and Detroit Techno.
This album evokes the 'golden days' of 'house' through the senses of DJ Deep. Those who have partied under the disco balls at legendary clubs such as The Music Box, The Warehouse, The Hacienda, are likely to have house flashbacks. Those who haven’t will be startled to hear an avalanche of ethereal dance music, which will make you ache for your disco dancing shoes. TIP!!
