Here at the HoTGG Records Soul bunker, we are so very pleased to present to you the second 7-inch single in the “Hutson Sevens” series. The soul music and rare groove virtuoso Mr LeRoy Hutson con nues to surprise us with his wonderful hidden musical gems that have previously been unreleased. For the second release in the series, we see a beau ful mid-tempo groove in “Trust My Heart”. Another amazing piece of music composed, arranged, produced and performed by the master Mr LeRoy Huston. and co-wri en with close friend Michael Hawkins. The song was recorded in the Curtom Studios as part of those sessions in April 1977 and has remained on the shelves unreleased ever since. On the flip we see a track which has always been a favourite of the Home of The Good Groove brethren, and a song that is making its 7-inch debut. “I'll Be There, I’ll s ll Care” is taken from LeRoy Hutson’s first album as a solo ar st, “Love Oh Love” from 1973. A somewhat underplayed gem, which deserves its own shining light on a 7-inch release. A er learning of his deep love of LeRoy Hutson music we reached out to soul music cognoscente, Mr Kevin Oxberry to review the single prior to its release. GGHS002) This is the second LeRoy Hutson release from UK independent label, Home of The Good Groove Records, and once again it serves up more magic. 'Trust My Heart' Let me tell you that this track is nothing short of a midtempo masterpiece from the pen of LeRoy Hutson. The first me I listened to it I was hooked. The opening piano notes lead straight into what can only be described as quintessen al Hutson with those strings, brass and backing vocals. It flows so easily and beau fully with the man himself at the helm delivering a magnificent vocal. Everything is in balance and propor on and you can't help but be swept along on such a soulful wave. This is top drawer soul music and then some. 'I'll Be There, I'll S ll Care' I've never made a secret of the fact that this is not only my favourite LeRoy Hutson track but also my favourite soul track of all me. Originally only available on his 1973 debut album 'Love Oh Love', now 50+ years later I'm delighted to see this track get a release on a 45 for the very first me. Glorious from start to finish, this just builds and builds. A magnificent piece of soul music - it's flawless in every possible way.
