Warm, slow and full sounding techno release.The Cleer Consortium is a collective who met through the Newcastle club scene and the Cleer club night. Each member of the Cleer Consortium brings something different to the table but the thing that binds them all together is a love for true uncompromising House & Techno. Cleer was originally founded by Binni whose legacy as a Newcastle club promoter spans back to days of Acid House when he kicked off the outdoor party scene in the North East of England with his now infamous Nocturnal All-Nighters. Binni's Cleer parties provided some of the most sought after Minimal and Techno DJ's with their debut appearances in Newcastle, and played host to everyone from Steffi to Matt Tolfrey. Suade is not only one of the main Cleer residents but he's also held his residency at the Free Rotation festival since its inception. Having spent years studying music and technology and playing music in clubs around the world he now splits his time between the mixing desk in his bespoke analogue studio and focusing on the art of mastering. But when he steps out from behind the mixer and takes the spot light he does it with style as in his recent collaboration with leading lady of techno Magda for their track Fixation. Clarke Sawkill has been a man of many pseudonyms but finally in 2013 he is now releasing exclusively under his real name. With a growing list of DJ’s who have played his music, he has featured on everything from Global Underground compilation CD’s to Ministry Of Sound radio shows. He also has a limited 10 inch vinyl soon to drop on Bokhari featuring a remix from man of the moment Mr Beatnick. William Welt completes the squad and is perhaps the glue that binds the group together. Not only did Will introduce the four friends to each other but he is also the main founder of the Eye Shadow label which is run by the Cleer group! At just 27 William may be the youngest of the group but he is far from being wet behind the ears as he also heads up both 22 Digit & Dead Cert. Records, as well as releasing on labels including Traum Schallplatten. Eye Shadow 001 spans the whole techno spectrum from the Detroit influenced chords of One Glove via the deep groves and rising tones of The Third Letter, then stopping off at the stripped back percussion and booming base drops of Cleerly Jazz, before arriving at the dance floor driven dark eruption that is Volcano. This release has something for everyone who is a true fan of Techno and all its associated genres...
