In the spring of 2010 Secret Stash Records traveled to Lima to learn more about the music from Peru and seek out songs to compile for LP release. The Rhythms of Black Peru is a collection of some of the most important Afro- Peruvian recordings of all time. It includes some of the most prolific figures in Afro-Peruvian culture such as Nicomedes Santa Cruz (credited by many as the most significant person in the Afro-Peruvian revival), Chabuca Granda, and Zambo Cavero.
