The Mojuba sublabel a.r.t.less presents a retrospective by Detroit Techno veteran Martin Bonds (KMS, End To End) aka Reel By Real in two parts.3 tracks, embodying the true soul and spirit of Detroit as well as the youthful enthusiasm and power from the pioneering years of Techno. Some of the tracks are now seeing a proper release for the first time, due to the fact that they had been only released as a limited whitelabel on Juan Atkins Metroplex sublabel Interface Records in 1990 and 1991. So it is no wonder that the original Surkit 12″ is one of the most sought after Detroit Techno records. To remain true to Detroit artists, the artwork for this project was created by Abdul Haqq from Third Earth Visual Arts who is giving Detroit Techno (e.g. Underground Resistance, Transmat, Red Planet etc.) a unique look since the late 80s. A limited handmade artwork cover to house both records will be part of the first 12″. To get the most out of these classics all tracks were restored by Don Williams and remastered by Redshape!
