Each adapter is solid (not hollow), and machined from high quality, heavy-duty stainless steel. They are MUCH heavier (100gr) than the aluminum ones and can take MUCH more of a beating. These are great for making sure your 45s don't slip around. If you don't use cone style adapters already, you should as it's much easier to switch on and off records while DJing or just listening
