From 5 PM, we’ll have ShunGu in-store to celebrate his incredible new album Faith in the Unknown on Lex records, with the vinyl release dropping Nov 28 at Rush Hour.
He’ll be doing a vinyl-only DJ set together with Mejiwahn to celebrate the album.

His critically acclaimed debut, A Black Market Album, showcased his knack for crafting

his prolific cassette discography on the revered label Hot Record Société, where his lo-fi
gems captured the hearts of beat enthusiasts around the globe.
ShunGu’s eclectic taste has also found a home on celebrated compilations, from ‚Gang-
ster Music Vol. 1’ by Gangster Doodles to ‚The Beauty Is Inside’, curated by Lefto on BBE
Records, ‚Afro Chronicles’ on Touching Bass Records and ‚Looking Glass’ by Mexican Sum-
mer. Each track reveals his mastery of subtlety and his ability to craft beats that feel both
timeless and forward-thinking.
Under the alias Senga, ShunGu explores his Detroit-infused house alter ego, channeling
spiritual rhythms and mind-bending textures. His acclaimed album Take The Evil Spirit Away
by Senga Ferrera stands as living proof of his versatility, elevating dance floors into sacred
spaces through tantalizing MPC-driven live sessions. With more house-focused extended
players on the pipeline, Senga continues to expand ShunGu’s legacy in the industry.
Looking ahead, ShunGu prepare to release his highly anticipated album, Faith in the
Unknown, on the legendary Lex Records in mid-2025 with a surefire roster of collaborators
including Pink Siifu, Liv.e, Fly Anakin, Chester Watson, Fatima, Maxo, Navy Blue, Dream-
castmoe, Contour, Zekeultra and Goya Gumbani. This forthcoming project promises
