Borshch the Electronic Beatroots is a new printed DIY magazine about electronic music. Interviews and conversations conducted in the magazine aim at exploring the stimuli and mechanisms within the synergy of people, music and technology. Combined with bold design, the texts attempt to draw connections between creative paths of electronic music producers and artists involved in this culture.
The first Borshch issue introduces interviews with Robert Henke, Fatima Al Qadiri, Silicium, Tombo and Nina Kraviz, Red Axes’s Garzen Records, and Berlin’s Echo Bücher. The magazine also spotlights electronic music scene in Tbilisi, featuring conversations with Bassiani’s and Vodkast Records’ founders and Aghnie. The space reads by PTU and the grainy shots of Dekmantel festival by Blitzkickers give Borshch a poetic touch with an aftertaste of summer.
Borshch is edited by Mariana Berezovska and designed by Tiago Biscaia and Rita Matos.
