With Leron Thomas currently making major moves - with Me'Shell Ndegeocello, Jason Moran (Blue Note) and Guts (Heavenly Sweetness) to name but a few - here's release the vinyl LP of one of his most unique projects thusfar: Take It.., his collaboration with Malik Crumpler. Check!Leron graduated from The New School in 2003 and he began performing professionally with various artists including Bilal, Billy Harper, Charles Tolliver and Roy Hargrove. The quality of his compositions was enhanced when playing live alongside peers such as Robert Glasper, Damion Reid, Vicente Archer, or Marcus Strickland to name just a few... Staying in Manhattan to pursue his professional career, Leron worked with many more artists including Lauryn Hill, Bobby Watson and Mos Def… Subsequently he found ways to liberate himself through a natural progression into writing and performing ‘other music’, a genre-crossing music incorporating jazz, blues, pop, country, electro-pop and rock. With nine independently released projects and critical acclaim, Leron explores a range of artistic media. Having music in film he also acted in a short film and is featured on recent albums by Gilles Peterson, Zara McFarlane (Brownswood Recordings), GUTS (Heavenly Sweetness) and Jason Moran (Bluenote Records).
