Description

Mieux's debut EP 'Neufant' gets the remix treatment by Athens based production duo We Sink, Copenhagen's latest sensation Sekuoia, London's own Kelpe and last but not least HADE from Cologne, all delivering outstanding and forward thinking takes on the already smashing originals released earlier this year on UpMyAlley. We Sink first appeared on Kastle's Symbols label in 2012 with the critically acclaimed 'Marooned EP' and their trademark style of contemporary bass music with a nod towards classic UK garage immediately got us craving for more. Their first EP for UpMyAlley is in the making right now and should be ready in late 2013. Sekuoia is the alias of 20 year old Patrick Alexander Bech Madsen from Copenhagen, who transforms the bouncy original of 'Pearl' into ethereal, chopped up downtempo bliss. He recently played Roskilde Festival, remixed WhoMadeWho's Tomas Barfod for LA based label Friends of Friends (Shlohmo, Salva etc) and will be appearing again on UpMyAlley with his own EP to be released this Fall. HADE is usually producing with his partner in crime DWFL and their recent EP on MPM gained support from Oneman on Rinse.FM, NTS Radio and XLR8R amongst others. His take on 'Guns' is pure dancefloor material best played at peak time and with enough low end for maximum effect. Lastly Kelpe (Drut / Svetlana Industries) slows down 'Risiko', adding some choice synthlines, delicate percussion and a tremendous bassline that makes bins rattle from Stoke Newington to Cologne Ehrenfeld. All huge.
