Description
Kid's Colors is the debut LP by Dutch artist Kid Sundance: a decisively original album, inspired by the library- and stockmusic compilations of the 70's and 80's. Here a link to a dope video made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqN6BmI1BIk
Check! On Kid's Colors Sundance combines beat-fueled Jazz, Funk-grooves, old school Hip Hop vibes and warm melodies. The use of vintage gear, exciting guestappearances and the artist being picky about his samples, makes Kid's Colors stand out as an illimitable musical trip. Kid Sundance has been active as a producer/DJ since the 80's. He co-founded Hip Hop Group Boomoperators and worked with artists such as Busy Bee (Wildstyle) and Dudley Perkins (Stonesthrow).
A few notes on his previous releases:
Bobbito Garcia still plays the 7-inch Crazy Lady on Weddings & Barmitswa's. The 12-inch Sundance did with Busy Bee was officially approved by Zulu Nation's Africa Islam. The EP he did with Dudley Perkins (Gilles Peterson called it '...brilliant...') ended up in BBC One's All Winners Chart 2003.
