Description

WPH head honcho Red D begins his new production collaboration series....The Label Say" Here is your summer present from WPH! Four storming house tracks with that WPH ‘oldskool in a new way’ feel, the result of a couple of mad studio sessions at the Lemakuhlar studio in Landegem…now where the f*ck is that? Near Deinze of course…duh… The (un)usual suspects involved: Lemakuhlar, Social Disco Club, Red D, Metrobox and there’s even some 20 seconds of San Soda genius in one of the tracks. If you can find it, write the answer on a homing pigeon and win an eternal supply of WPH love. The title of this release is aptly called ‘Red D meets’, because this is exactly what happened. For the A-side the Lemakuhlar boys – who were behind the beautiful track ‘Liser’ on WPH Red – teamed up with Red D to come up with ‘Is Limited’ and ‘Is Essit’, two tracks full of raw power, emotion and melody. ‘Is Limited’ is the immediate pleaser with its big piano melody, deep kick and utterly moving Detroit string pinned underneath. ‘Is Essit’ takes things a bit deeper with its part broken beat and sampled vocal melody. Don’t be afraid, the string break is not the end of the track… On the B-side we find the result of track madness by Social Disco Club, completed with lyrics by Red D, vocalized by Metrobox, and fine-tweaked by Lemakuhlar. ‘We Made This Jack’ brings Chicago madness with a very familiar Detroit chord and talks about who is still jacking and who is not. Consider it Red D’s kudos to a bunch of people in the house music world, and Social Disco Club’s ode to oldskool house. ‘Need You’ takes things into sexual territory, with a seductive hook and a bassline to make those ladies melt instantly. Add to this Metrobox’ sensual vocals and you have a winner for deep discerning dancefloors that do not mind things get outta hand… Four tracks, four times vintage WPH, with a variety of people involved, how about that for house love?
