NO LONGER / ENDLESSLY by THE FOUR MINTS

A pair of Four Mints cuts recorded in Capsoul studios with the treasured Capsoul session players � discovered by songwriter Dean Francis in his own basement. Both tracks are wonderful, and wholly on par with the great Capsoul LP and Eccentric Soul compilation entry. "No Longer" has a nice sense of tension and heavy emotional resonance � a killer soul tune with raw drums, piano, aching lead and group backing vocals. The flip "Endlessly" is just as winning, produced and arranged with care and craft, yet still with something of a raw edge. A great little bookend to the Four Mints story � here's hoping there's more stuff yet to be discovered!
