Ingram has been at the forefront of Detroit's musical history - with his seminal 'Covert Action' on Retroactive regularly pulled up as a Motor City classic. Throughout his recording career Urban Tribe has managed to remain one of the most uncompromising and mysterious producers. Ingram has consistently avoided the mainstream to create a musical world of his own. In recent years he has been best known for his spinning moniker DJ Stingray, representing his brand of hi-speed and frantic electro in a ski-mask. Reputedly the first Detroit DJ to play electro trax at 45 instead of 33 to club crowds, his skills as DJ Stingray are held in high regard within the 313 district and beyond for creating a unique hyperactive funk.
