Music historian Giles Peterson and Stuart Baker present their Freedom, Rhythm and Sound Book. A compilation of artwork from the covers of albums by "radical" jazz musicians from both America and abroad, musicians who were often vocal about the Civil Rights Movement during the 60s and 70s. TIP!!
The artwork included is taken from albums by Don Cherry, Ornette Coleman, John Coltrane, Sun Ra, The Oneness Of Juju, Roy Porter, Melvyn Price, Pharaoh Sanders, Gil Scott-Herron, Les Walker, and many, many more. In addition to the artwork, they also took time to include short bios for many of the artists involved.
